What is the delay time adjustment on a Delayed Action closers?

Regular LCN closers have "3" regulating valves for General Speed, Latch Speed, and Backcheck. If the LCN closer has "4" regulating valves, then the closer has the Delayed Action feature.

  • Delayed Action is an added adjustment to delay the door closing from maximum opening down to approximately 75 degrees, when the General Speed adjustment takes over.
  • The Delayed Action time is adjustable from 0 to approximately 1 minute.
  • To disable the Delayed Action feature, turn the "delay valve" clockwise until it stops, then back it out counter clockwise 2-1/2 revolutions.
