What is Schlage's warranty history?

Schlage's warranty history is as follows:

  • No warranty previous to 1991​
  • 1992 to 1996 began 10 year mechanical only warranty​
  • 1996 Began lifetime warranty for mechanical​
  • 1998 began lifetime warranty for mechanical and Bright Brass Finish​
  • 2006 began lifetime warranty for mechanical and all finishes

  1. Pictures of the front and back of defective lock. Please also include programming sticker if it is an electronic lock. See where to find programming sticker here.
  2. Mailing address: Must be a physical address and NOT P.O. box.
  3. Telephone number.
  4. Brief description of the issue, including approximate age of the lock.
