If your lock's touchscreen blinks a red x after pressing the external Schlage button, your battery is low. We recommend changing your batteries each year when you change the battery in your smoke detector to ensure smooth, uninterrupted performance of your smart lock.
If you'd like to check the voltage of your batteries before changing, here's what you need to know:
4.7V will trigger the low battery response.
4.4V is when lock stops operating.
