What dos a Zero Automatic Door Bottom (ADB) do?

What does an ADB do?

Doors typically have a gap between the door bottom and the floor or saddle (threshold). This gap can allow light, air, sound, smoke, and flames to penetrate. Zero Automatic Door Bottoms ensure an efficient seal against the floor or saddle.

How does an ADB Work?

ADBs have a plunger on the hinge side of the door that makes contact with the door jamb. As the door is closed, the plunger is compressed against the door jamb causing the ADB  mechanism to lower the seal. The seal then makes contact with the floor or saddle.
