What does it mean when the NDE has 5 red blinks?

This indicates the lock is still in “Capture Mode”. This can happen if the lock has not fully completed the commissioning sequence.  There are two ways the commissioning process could be interrupted:

  • In 210 mode, a final database must be downloaded to the lock containing its configuration information; a poor signal preventing communication to the server or possibly invalid Wi-Fi configuration could prevent that download.

  • Door calibration failure.  If the DPS chip has failed or if the values read by the chip were completely invalid as to be reasonable, the lock could be stuck unable to complete the final step of capture (calibrating DPS).

To fix the issue:

Please check the Wi-Fi configuration on the lock make sure the info in correct.

On the NDE80 locks, make sure the lock is closed and calibrate the DPS.

Also SYNC to the lock.
