What configuration cards can I use with X02_50 and later or X04_50 and later?
XceedID readers contain a configuration memory map. The values in this memory map dictate how the reader behaves, what card types it reads, type of output (CSN versus secure sector), keypad formats, and communication timing among other things. XceedID has created configuration cards that alter the memory map affecting the reader behavior. There are 4 different types of configuration cards. Prox, Mifare, ISOX and EV1. Each type is used on one or reader models depending upon the capability and/or the firmware revision of the reader. The first two digits in their part numbers indicate the type:
The configuration number on the base unit represents the state of the memory map when the unit left the factory. All readers begin with the default configuration. Identify the default configuration when the first part of the configuration number is (F00 or E-0) zero. Some units are reconfigured in the factory according to specific customer orders. Identify reconfigured units when the first part of the configuration number is non zero. Once the units leave the factory, it is possible that third parties could reconfigure the reader to something else.
