What can you tell me about the Trimco Hardware Lockdown (Dogging Release Device)

This is a product that retrofits into the 98/99 and enables dogging release via a spring-loaded endcap.  This is not a recommended product.

The key points are:

  • Customers use dogging for a reason and would not want everyone to have the ability to release dogging, causing the door to be secured from the ingress side when not desired.
  • If someone wants this type of solution, they can use a thumbturn for dogging
  • Using 3rd party options would void the Allegion warranty and UL label unless Trimco can indicate they have tested for UL.   Customer would need to contact Trimco.
