Allegion combinating rules are systems used in cylinder pinning and key cutting to ensure consist, uniform performance. Here are some of the major elements of combinating rules
Pin heights
Key cut depths and spacing measurements
Maximum Adjacent Cut Specifications - what is the maximum allowable depth difference in two adjacent key cuts?
Valid numerical cut values
Number of progression steps
Valid cylinder types allowed
Number of pin chambers allowed
Pin stack requirement (in some interchangeable core combinating rules).
015 is used for Schlage conventional cylinders and Full Size Interchangeable Cores (see notes for Everest SL cylinders and competitor LFIC)
A2 is used for Schlage Small Format Interchangeable Cores.
Falcon utilizes the following combinating rules.
018 is used for Falcon standard (conventional) cylinders in open keyways.
025 is used for Falcon standard (conventional) cylinders in restricted keyways, except C1 and CS keyways.
C1 is used for Falcon standard (conventional) cylinders in C1 and CS keyways.
A2 is used for Falcon Small Format Interchangeable Cores, open or restricted keyways.
A4 is used for Falcon Small Format Interchangeable Cores, open or restricted keyways. (A4 utilized by customer request only.)
