Understanding Stamped Information on Schlage RFID Proximity, Smart Cards, and Keyfobs

Most XceedID credentials contain a wealth of information about them stamped right on the card.

The data is usually as follows -

TBBBSSSSS-XXXXXX

Legend:            T = Card Type, S for Smart (Mifare or EV1), P for Proximity, and C for combo or dual technology

                        B = Bit Format (i.e. 26A, 37X, and 40X)

                        S = Sales Order Number

                        X = Badge ID

For example:

                                                P26A19528-18021

                Legend:                   P = Proximity

                                                26A = 26-bit

                                                15928 = Sales order number

                                                18024 = Encoded Badge ID

This applies to almost ALL Schlage credentials.

Exceptions:

-          IBF-110, IBWB-110 – These credentials have ONLY the Badge ID stamped on them.

-          Instances where the customer requested no stamping (for security).

-          Instances where the customer requested an offset, where the encoded Badge ID is actually different than the printed Badge ID.
