The Schlage Encode lock purchased through Remotelock.com is not functioning as expected, what can be done?

We suggest the following troubleshooting steps for you:

  1. Check the batteries. 
    1. Make sure the lock is using high-quality Alkaline batteries such as Duracell Coppertop (non-Optimum Power boost) or Energizer (non-MAX). 
    2. Make sure there is no corrosion, discoloration, or battery acid on the battery case. 
       
  2. Remove the lock from the door to make sure the wires are plugged in securely
    1. Check the connection to the locks circuit board and keypad as well.
       
  3. Factory reset the lock.  
  4. Contact Remote Lock directly for any warranty request.  
    1. Remotelock.com is not an authorized Schlage retailer so the lock is not supported by the standard Schlage warranty.
