Schlage Mobile Credential is asking "Password Required" and "Enter Passcode"

If the Mobile App is opened, but FaceID is not enabled, and the user clicks “Cancel” when initially asked to enter the phone’s passcode, the app will display this message:


“Passcode Required" - Failed to Validate passcode. 

Please enter passcode to continue - Enter Passcode”

To correct this, tap “Enter Passcode” and enter the passcode that is used to unlock the phone.
