Schlage Express does not see the CIP

Resolution:

Check Communications  port in the software:

1. Open Schlage Express software

2.  Select from the upper tabs, Settings

3. From dropdown menu select: Program Settings

4. From top tabs, under Credentials and Devices,

                Make sure you have a selection under:

                        Serial port to be used when reading Credentials and programming       (Typically COM1, COM2 ..up to.. COM8, depending on PC settings)

5. Test CIP by adding a credential to a user

To Check for correct  communications Port:

From Desktop:

1.       Double Click on My Computer

2.       Select from the local drives,  C:\

3.       Double click in Program Files

4.       Select Schlage Security Management System Express Folder

5.       Click on Test cip.exe application 

6.       Select communication ports and click Detect CIP until you get a positive response from the application

7.       Exit Select CIP Application

8.       Changed to the correct Communication  port in the Schlage Credential and Devices Tab

9.       Test by adding a credential to a user.
