Receiving the Error "Lock Already Set Up With Another Home" When Pairing to Apple HomeKit?

If you're attempting to pair the Schlage Encode Plus (BE488) with the Apple Home app and see this error, it means the lock has already been paired with another Apple Home. Please note that the lock can only be paired with one Home at a time.

If someone in your household owns the lock, they can share access with you through the Apple Home app.
