PS873 with a new main board and no voltage on outputs.

Issue: Power supply with no output

Facts: PS873

Resolution:
  1. Check the fuse and if bad replace with 4 amp slow blow fuse.
  2. If Fire Alarm (FA) board is used confirm that the Fire Alarm is closed across the FA board, try using a jumper wire to rule this out.
  3. Check if E3 has been cut on the main board of the PS873.  E3 is cut when a FA board is used but if someone removed the FA board the power supply would not provide output DC voltage.
  4. Disconnect DC output to see if the green light comes on.  There is overload protection in series with the fuse and under some circumstances it can shut down the supply without blowing the fuse.
  5. Make sure 110VAC is applied to the primary side of the PS873 power supply.
