Proprietary Older iButton only works on older Locknetics and Schlage products.

Older products such as the old black style CM, CT500, 390DEL and the 101+ used iButtons with Special proprietary family coding for Locknetics and older Schlage products.

The new IBF version iButtons probably will not work with older products such as CM5xxx, CT500, 390DEL and the 101+, since the new iButtons do not have the older products family coding.

The new IBF version iButtons will work with the newer Schlage CM5xxx, KC5xxx-2, KC9xxx-2 & CT1000 products since they do not rely on specific iButton family coding.
