Primus key SBM changes 2014

This information is here in case you have questions from customers stating the SBM (side bit milling) has changed on their Primus keys.

Beginning in early October 2014 the 15 degree tilt was removed from all Primus key side bit milled paths.

  • This is most noticeable at the bottoms of each cut where current keys exhibit a triangular “V”.  See attached images.
  • This change does not affect key operation in any manner.
  • Classic Primus Keys will be the most noticeable.
  • Everest Primus keys, due to the undercut, will be the least noticeable.
