Phone is Not Scanning QR Code During Pairing Process

If your smartphone is unable to scan the QR code during the setup process via the Schlage Home app, here are some workarounds to resolve the issue:

  1. Use the QR Code on the Quick Start Guide

    Instead of scanning the QR code on the back of the Schlage Encode lock, try scanning the QR code located on the Quick Start Guide included with your lock. This QR code is identical and often easier for the smartphone camera to detect.

     

  2. Switch to Manual Entry

    If your smartphone still cannot scan the QR code, point the camera at the floor or away from the QR code. This action should prompt an option in the Schlage Home app to "Try Another Method." Select this option to manually enter the 6-digit programming code printed on the lock or the Quick Start Guide. This will allow you to complete the pairing process without scanning the QR code.
