Pairing the BR400 to the Schlage Home App

The Schlage Sense - BE479, discontinued is Wi-Fi compatible when paired to the Schlage Home App if a Wi-Fi Adapter - BR400. A BR400 is required to connect the BE479 to Wi-Fi. Please follow the pairing steps below. 

The Wi-Fi Adapter should be plugged into an outlet no more than 15ft away from the lock.

 

To Pair the BR400, Discontinued to the Schlage Home App

  1. Launch the Schlage Home App
  2. Press the menu icon on the top left corner of the app.
  3. Select "Wi-Fi Adapters"
  4. Press "Add Wi-Fi Adapter"
  5. Locate the Programming Code on the Wi-Fi Adapter, and press "Continue"
     
  6. Point the camera to scan the QR code on the back of the Wi-Fi adapter.
  7. Plug  the Wi-Fi Adapter into an outlet, and press "Continue"
  8. Press "Join" on the "Schlage Home" Wants to Join Wi-Fi Network "BR400-******" pop-up screen.
  9. Allow the device/app to retrieve the Wi-Fi networks in range.
  10. Select your Wireless network.
  11. Enter the password for your Wi-Fi and press "Continue".
  12. Allow the Wi-Fi Adapter to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
  13. Enter the Wi-Fi Adapter Name, and press "Continue".
