On a HandPunch reader, is there any way an illegal date (such as February 31) could be displayed on the reader as the date?

The HandPunch reader itself does not control the setting of a date that is displayed.  It can be manually set by a supervisor though the reader setup menu.  In most cases, on a HandPunch, the displayed dates are controlled through the associated software application.
