No Tour resident moves out, how do I reuse the credential?

No-Tour Resident Moves-Out – Recommendations
When a resident moves-out, the property administrate should follow these steps to take control of the returned credential, properly manage ENGAGE™ property database, and to make the credential available for reuse and reprogramming.

o   Change the name on the credential to “Unassigned #####” (or other) using the printed ink stamp number on the credential

o   Set the old original USER Expiration date to “Today" so it expires at midnight tonight.  The access to the doors will be removed (delete) automatically the next day

o   Update the credential using the MT20W.

NOW the card has no access and is safe to store.

The returned credential is now unassigned and has no door assignments.  Tomorrow, after midnight, after the programmed Expiration date has passed, the credential will then be available for re-use and reassignment as a new credential.

When access is expired the credential NO Tour sector is freed up for reuse and new door assignments tomorrow.

Note:  The previous ENGAGE™ User Audit information will be maintained for history and any new assigned access, resulting from this credential reuse, will be reported against its new User assignment.
