There are two new credentials available which allows a facility currently using iButtons credentials to transition to proximity credentials. Since the new AD and CO series units no longer support iButtons, the new fob allows the customer to carry one credential that will use the iButton on legacy locks and proximity on the AD locks.
The IBF-110 is the dual credential proximity fob with an iButton attached. This credential comes with the iButton chip pre-installed on the proximity fob. This would be used for facilities looking for new ibuttons to work the legacy locks but also has new locks with proximity readers.
The IBWB-110 is the dual credential proximity fob without an iButton attached. This credential comes with a round sticky disc to attach an existing iButton. This would be used for facilities that already have iButton fobs where the iButton chip will be taken off the existing plastic fob and placed on the new proximity fob.
