My Lock Isn't Pairing with the Schlage Home App

If you're having trouble pairing your Schlage lock with the Schlage Home app, first ensure your lock is compatible with the app.

Locks Compatible with the Schlage Home App:

  • Schlage Sense Pro™ (BE889)
  • Schlage Arrive (BE459)
  • Schlage Encode Series (BE489, BE499, FE789)
  • Schlage Sense (BE479 — discontinued)
If you have any other Schlage model, your lock is not compatible with the Schlage Home app.

1. Ensure the Correct Model has been Selected

  • If you are still experiencing issues pairing your lock to the Schlage Home app, ensure you have selected the correct model of lock.

If you are still unable to pair the lock to the Schlage Home app after confirming lock compatibility and confirming you have selected the correct model lock, proceed to the next step.

2. Verify the Lock isn't Already Paired 

  • Verify the lock has not been previously commissioned or paired to the Schlage Home App or any other 3rd party apps.
  • If the lock has been previously paired, of if you're unsure this can easily be resolved by performing a Factory Reset on the lock.

If you are still unable to pair the lock after performing a Factory Reset, proceed to the next step.

3. Verify the Lock is in Pairing Mode

The pairing button press may not have registered or the lock could have timed out of pairing mode.

  • Press and release the pairing button.

If you are still unable to pair the lock, please contact customer care.
