On the Schlage F Series door locks (F40 F10 F51) you can take the levers off and re hand them. In your kit you should have a tool called a nine pin* that you push into the small hole by the circular plate where the lever screws on the door. There, you can take them off and re hand them as you see fit. If your'e trying to take off a side with a keyed entry, make sure the key is in the cylinder before you take it off.
*9 Pin being the straight pin with a loop on it.
