Moving Handnet for Windows to a Windows 7 machine

Yes you can. Following these procedures:

What happens in Windows 7 is that its putting the .mdb files into the virtual store folder. Here is the full directory:

C:\Users\”name” \AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Recognition Systems Inc\Handnet for Windows\

So after installing HNW on the new pc you have to delete the .mdb files that are located in that directory. Then you copy your older pc .mdb files into there.

Please note we had to go into control panel and “Show hidden files” in order to see that AppData folder.

If you are copying from a Win 7 pc just go into the same directory to copy the .mdb files out.
