Medeco-Yale cylinder seems loose in the lever

Customer may notice additional play in the cylinder of this configuration.

After engineering analysis and evaluations of the sample provided, here is a summary of the findings.  (TTP# 2280)

-          Cylinder does have play front to back that allows the cylinder to move in and out of the lever when installed

o   This play has been reviewed and determined to be “as designed”

o   No corrective action is recommended

-          The key bow will contact the lever

o   The samples demonstrated this issue only when using the control key to remove or install the cylinder

o   The interference is very minimal

o   No corrective action is recommended

-          The Medeco Yale driver does fit into the AD tailpiece cam, and the top of the driver does fit into the back of the Medeco / Yale core.

o   The samples were reviewed and found to be “as designed”.

o   The driver is loose and difficult to install because it does not snap together making it difficult to go into the lever/lock as one piece.

o   No corrective action is recommended
