To link a PIM-TD2 or PIM-TD4 to a WRI-IN or WRI-OTD:
1. Push the SA (side A or lock 1) or SB (side B or lock 2) button.
-The LED CR9(A) or LED CR6(B) on the PIM will start flashing alternately red and green.
The PIM -TD2 is now waiting for a link request from a wireless access point( WA, WRI, or WPR2)
2. To initiate the link process on a WRI-IN, cycle power to the WRI-IN. There is no LED on the WRI-IN, so all packet information and link will display on the reader.
3. To initiate the link process on a WRI-OTD, cycle power to the WRI-OTD or press the red reset button.
-LED2 on the WRI-OTD will flash the high order firmware value in red then the low order in green.
There will be about a 1 second delay. Then LED2 will flash green then red and enter the packet test mode, with the LED flashing green rapidly. Packet test should be all green. If sporadic reds are noted this indicates dropped packets, and weak RF communication.
Note: Too many dropped packets will result in link failure. Link fail is reported with rapid green red alternating on LED2.
A good link will terminate the packet test pause one second and then flash LED2 green to indicate the channel. For example: 3 flashes indicates channel 3, 2 flashes channel 2, etc.
