Issue: My lock doesn't beep when I attach the battery as the instructions state it should.
Environment:
BE365 Keypad Deadbolt
FE575 Auto Lock Keypad
FE595 Flex Lock Keypad
Cause:One of the following reasons will cause this:
Internal electronic components have a residual charge which the lock tries to use, and it is not adequte to allow the beeper to function when connecting the battery
New Installation: This may be caused by testing at the time of manufacture, if the residual charge was not completely discharged. It may also be caused by connecting the battery prior to installation.
Previous Installation: Caused from previous use of the lock with a battery that was not completely dead.
The Beeper has been programmed to be disabled
Resolution:
With the battery disconnected, press and release any key on the keypad. If there is residual charge within the lock, this will consume the charge.
Connect the battery. You should hear a beep.
