Is there a latch spacer or reinforcement for the ND lock?
As of February 2016, ND locks began shipping with a new latchbolt. The new latchbolt offers substantially improved performance in adverse door conditions (ex, with heavy door loading) and is more robust and forgiving in non-ideal installations. This new latchbolt no longer requires the use of a latch spacer or door reinforcement in hollow metal door applications.
Note: The 24483760 latch spacer (see here) and the 37-001 reinforcement kit will still be available for use with older ND latchbolts in hollow metal door applications.
Prior to February 2016, using ND-Series locks on hollow metal doors required the use of latch spacers which prevent the latch from "fishtailing" (back end of latch moving from side to side). Latch fishtailing can cause problems with the deadlatching bar and/or the lock keycam.
For 1-3/4" thick doors: Use the ND latch spacer for 1-3/4" hollow metal doors (part number 24483760). It began shipping with every ND lock (except ND170) on August 26, 2013.
For 1-3/8" thick doors: Order the metal door reinforcement kit and specify the door thickness (part number 37-001 1-3/8").
