Is the Hold Open Time adjustable on the LCN 6440 Compact Operator?

Yes, it can be adjusted from 1 – 30 second hold open times, in full second increments.  The default Hold Open Time is 1 second – enabling the Long Hold Open feature will provide a 5 second Hold Open Time.

• To set Custom Hold time, press and hold “Lng Hld Opn” button and count beeps – each beep equals 1 second of hold time – 30 beeps max.

Please Note:  The 1-30 second hold open time unit started shipping early December 2022 – it is indicated with a yellow dot on unit.  Hold open time was only 1 second or 5 seconds on units prior to December 2022 (no yellow dot)

If a longer than 30 second hold open time is needed, the 4041 Delayed Action Cylinder can be used to delay closing from full open to about 75 degrees.

Using a Hold Open switch or constant activation will not provide an indefinite Hold open. Once the unit receives and activation input the unit will open and HO to the set time and then time out and door will close and not reopen until another activation input is received.
