Installing Strike and Reinforcement plate?
In February of 2021 the strike plate and reinforcement plate were combined into one. This provides enhanced security without the need to alter the doorframe for the strike plate. The single plate provides an easy install that requires only 2 screws. This updated strike meets Grade 1 and AAA with both the standard or the extended 3" screw options.
Schlage has updated all our of residential deadbolts to a 1-strike installation. We no longer require a reinforcement plate.
