I receive the error “iCloud data sync in progress.” What do I do?

If you receive the message “iCloud data sync in progress”, you may need to check that your iOS device is connected to the internet.
  • Sign out of iCloud and sign back into iCloud. 
  • Switch iCloud Keychain off and back on. 
  • Reboot the iOS device.
Once the iCloud data sync has completed, you will be able to add HomeKit homes and accessories, including the Schlage Sense Lock.  Alternately, you can have basic functionality of the lock and app without the use of an iCloud account.  Log out of your iCloud account, then follow the steps to setup the lock using the Schlage Sense App.  An iCloud account is required for use of remote connectivity through Apple TV and for adding other HomeKit users and devices.
