1st Scenario - Normally
the customer will experience the 12 red blinking lights when the lock is in
"lockdown" and the reader is presented with a normal credential
(the reader
will read the (normal, toggle or freeze) credential (card or fob) and looks to
see if the inside of the lock is in "lockdown" mode; if it is the
"lockdown" mode the reader will blink red 12 times and deny access)
(press and
hold the button on the paired fob for twenty seconds to take the lock set out
of "lockdown")
2nd Scenario - Reader believes inside of lock is in "lockdown" mode but the lock is actually not in "lockdown" (the internal LED is not blinking)
(this can
occur (rarely) when the locks (4 AA) batteries are allowed to become
"critically low", then removed and new batteries installed.
When this occurs there is a slight possibility that the electronics
within the reader may have a false reading that the lock is in
"shutdown"
This issue found in the 2nd Scenario can be completely eliminated by following the Single and/or Multi-Lock Fob Battery Replacement Addendum that was shipped along with every new CO-220 lock set. These Addendum's are presented here for the customer's convenience.
