How to use Amazon Alexa with the Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt (BE479)

Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt owners using the Schlage set-up option and the Schlage Sense WiFi Adapter (BR400) can access their lock via Amazon Alexa voice commands. The Schlage Sense WiFi Adapter does not work with Amazon HomeKitĀ® or support the use of SiriĀ® voice control.

To use the Schlage Sense lock via Alexa-enabled devices, connect the deadbolt to the Schlage Sense WiFi Adapter (sold separately) and connect it to your home WiFi. The WiFi Adapter must be within Bluetooth range of the lock (about 40 feet).

Next, complete the setup within the Alexa app and enabling the Schlage Home skill. You will need to link your Schlage account to your Alexa account. Once the skill is enabled and your accounts are linked, you should be able to access your lock via voice activation.
