The ASM’s right-hand light will confirm proper pairing. i. The left light will ALWAYS be red indicating it is powered on. ii. The right light will follow the GREEN LED indicator on the reader. If the reader is set to unlock and is GREEN, then the ASM/EDK, when properly paired, will show GREEN as well.
If the reader is not properly connected or paired, the ASM right-side will instead go AMBER or stay OFF when the reader is Green.
To correct this state, the ASM will need to be paired. Please follow the instructions shown in this YouTube video by product support:
