Keypad formats

Step1: Power cycle the reader
Step2: Within 1 minute from power on perform one of the following tasks:
1. Enter * 8 8 8 8 9 9 9 9 on the keypad or
2. Present keypad configuration card part# CX-001-044-000 or
3. Present keypad configuration card part# C-A15-032 for XF1050
The LED turns green and a short triple-beep indicates that the reader is ready to have the
keypad format entered on the keypad. The user has 5 seconds to enter the keypad format.
Three keypad formats are:
1) 4 bit burst
2) 8 bit burst
3) 26 bit Wiegand with fixed facility code
Step3: Enter the keypad format using the keypad. A short triple-beep indicates success
and you are done.
1) 4 bit burst - Enter 0 1
2) 8 bit burst - Enter * 0
3) 26 bit Wiegand - Enter # followed by a 3 digit facility code between 000 and 255.
Facility code examples – all numbers are in decimal:
Enter # 0 9 6 for fixed facility code 96
Enter # 1 2 8 for fixed facility code 128
In this mode, enter your PIN and press #. The reader sends the PIN (packaged as a
26-bit Wiegand output with the fixed facility code). The PIN must be a number
between 1 and 65535.
Example: 1 10000000 0000101010100000 1
8 bit facility code is 128
16 bit PIN or card number is 2720

O = Odd parity bit computed over all underlined data bits
E = Even Parity bit
