How to Pair a Schlage Encode Lock with Your Home Using the Schlage Home App

The Schlage Home App enables you to effortlessly manage and secure your home by adding and pairing Schlage locks. With a whole-home view, you can consolidate features for easier management, allowing for convenient locking and unlocking of all the smart locks in your home with just a touch of a button. Quick-view icons provide a snapshot of each lock's battery life, WiFi signal strength, and built-in alarm status, keeping you informed without any extra hassle. Follow these detailed instructions to add both pre-existing and new locks to your home setup.

Adding Pre-existing or Already Paired Locks to a Home:

• Tap the (+) icon to add a lock. Pre-set options are available for Front Door, Side Door, and Back Door.
• Select the name of the lock you'd like to add to the home.
• Press "Continue."

Adding a New Lock to a Home:

• Initiate the pairing process by tapping the plus icon located in the bottom right corner of the app's home screen.
• Select "Lock."
• Press "Yes" on the pop-up screen to add the lock to a Home.
• Select the Home you'd like to add your lock to.
• Press "Continue."
• Select the entryway where you'd like to add this lock.
• Press "Continue."
• Give your lock a nickname.

• Press "Continue."
   

   

 Please follow the on-screen instructions:

• If you have an Encode model , press "Continue"

• Press "Allow" if the Schlage Home App requests access to the camera

• When prompted, locate the QR code on the back of your lock, found under the battery cover.

• Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code.
  If you prefer a manual option, wait a few seconds and select "Try Another Method" from the pop-up window. Enter the 6-digit programming code when prompted:

• The app will ask if your lock is already installed.
  If it is not, follow the provided installation steps.
  If the lock is installed, select "Yes, lock is installed" to skip the installation instructions.

• When the app prompts you to:
  Gently press and quickly release the inside pairing button on the lock when prompted by the app. 
  Do not hold down the button, as this will reset the lock. If the lock doesn’t flash blue with the first press, you can quickly press it again.

• Press "Connect Wi-Fi"

• Select your Wi-Fi from the list of networks

• Enter your Wi-Fi password

• Press "Connect Wi-Fi"

• Fill in "Access Code" and "Access Code Name"

• Press "Continue"

• Open your door slightly

• Press "I'm Ready"
  The lock will configure itself to your door

• Press "Finish" to complete set-up

By following these steps, you can successfully pair your Schlage lock with the Schlage Home app, enabling easy management and enhanced security for your home.
