How to manually create a TimeZone on HandPunch

Resolution:

- hit 'clear' then 'enter'

-          the display will read: "enter ID": enter a supervisor ID, then press ‘enter’

-          the display will read: “place hand”: place the hand belonging to that supervisor ID

-          the display will read: “enter password”: hit '2' and 'enter'

- display:                      action:

 "set user data"             hit 'No'

 "set TZ table"               hit 'Yes'

 “edit TZ’s”                    hit 'Yes'

 "time zone #?"              enter the value for the time zone number; choose a number between 1 and 60

For example:                 ‘1’ then ‘enter’

 

“TZ1-1”                          type in the numbers that represent the days of the week that this timezone is valid for: Sun=1, Mon=2, Tue=3, Wed=4, Thu=5, Fri-6, Sat=7, Holiday=8

For example:                 ‘23456’ then ‘enter’ for Monday through Friday

 

Refer to the second line on the display:

“ON00:00   OFF00:00”    type in the 24-hour format of the time that the time zone starts and ends

For example:                 ‘10’ then ‘enter’, ‘15’ then ‘enter’, ‘23’ then ‘enter’, ‘30’ then ‘enter’

This would represent a timezone that starts at 10:15am and ends at 11:30pm.

    Notice that the reader will change the ‘15’ into ‘18’; that’s because the time zone uses 6-minute intervals/ increments.

    For timezones that go though midnight, create 2 separate timezones:

The first timezone should end at 23:59 and the second timezone should start at 00:00

  

If you make a mistake, then press ‘clear’ and keep pressing ‘enter’ until you get back to:

“time zone #?”

 

To setup an auto-unlock timezone, please go back to the “time zone #?” prompt

And keep pressing ‘No’ until you see ‘set unlock TZ’, press ‘Yes’ and edit that timezone.
