How to install the Isonas Advanced Security Module (ASM) with Fail Safe Locks?

When using an Isonas Advanced Security Module (ASM) for a Fail Safe lock and configuring the Access Point in Pure Access, you may need to set the ‘Fail Mode’ in Pure Access Cloud or the ‘Lock Type’ in Pure Access Manager to ‘Fail Secure’ even though the lock being used is a Fail Safe device wired to the Normally Closed and Common connections on the ASM.

If the Fail Mode or Lock Type is set as Fail Safe and the relay activity LED is flashing red, switching to Fail Secure and resetting the ASM should resolve this issue.

Note that when using an ASM and configuring a Fail Safe lock as Fail Secure device in the Access Point setup the lock will still function as a Fail Safe device (i.e.- when power is removed the lock will be in an unlocked state).

The Advanced Security Module (ASM) was previously called an External Door Kit (EDK).
