The 20-V device instructions show part of the handing process.
There is an auxiliary page that shows that inside the center case of the device is a Device Handing Controller, and Holding Screw, and a Setting Screw (called the Drive Pin in the standard instructions).
All 3 parts change orientation or position when rehanding a 20-V device in the field.
