How to Factory Default Reset Dexter by Schlage Electronic Locks

Before You Begin:

• Locate the default programming and access codes on the back of your Quick Start Guide (included in the box) or these codes can also be found on the interior side of your lock's housing. For assistance locating your Programming Sticker, please click here.

When Should I Perform a Factory Default Reset (FDR):

• I want to move my lock to a different door.
• I forgot my new programming code.
• I connected my Encode to a smart home system but want to unpair, erase all of my codes, and restore all of my default settings.

How to Factory Default Reset Models JFE109 and JBE109:

1. Remove the battery cover
2. Press and hold the enrollment button. 
   The LED will light solid amber.
   
3. After 8 seconds of holding the button, the amber light will turn off.
4. Release the button.

A successful FDR is indicated by 3 long green blinks and 3 long beeps.

How to Factory Default Reset Models JFE105 and JBE105:

1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Remove one battery.
3. Press the button above the keypad.
4. Relace the battery, and wait for the lock to power up:
   Indicated by 1 long green blink and 1 long beep.
5. Within 10 seconds: Press and hold for 3 seconds.
   A successful FDR is indicated by 3 long green blinks and 3 long beeps.
6. Enter one of the default access code followed by the lock button to set u the lock.

How to Factory Default Reset the JDE265:

1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Remove one battery.
3. Press and hold the SET button while inserting the battery. Hold the set  button until the long beep is over.
