How to Exclude a Discontinued Connected Keypad Deadbolt or Lever from a Z-Wave Network

Just performing a factory reset on your Schlage Connected Keypad lock (BE369, FE599) will not exclude it from the Z-Wave hub. A Z-Wave Exclusion must be performed. To learn more about Z-Wave, please click here.

How to Exclude your BE369 or FE599

To properly exclude the lock, follow the exclusion process through the app of your Z-Wave hub (refer to the app’s instructions for excluding devices).

  1. Review the instructions or app that came with your Z-Wave system controller to understand how to initiate "Remove" or "Exclude" mode.
  2. Once your Z-Wave controller is in "Remove" or "Exclude" mode:
  3. Enter the 6-digit programming code.
  4. Press 0.
If the Schlage button flashes green, the lock was successfully excluded.
If the Schlage button flashes red, the lock was not excluded successfully.
