How to convert and Re-Classify AD series lock function:
Basic process: - Ensure the Re-Classed target AD lock reader type is installed on the lock, such as a Magnetic card reader with or without keypad for AD250 target, and any additional communication boards. - Retrieve current version AD firmware package and SUS HHD utility software from support site: http://www.schlage.com/support - Update the HHD with the most current SUS (remember the SUS login and coupling passwords are reset to the 123456 defaults during update) - Copy the AD firmware package file AD.X.XX into the top level directory of the HHD main memory. - Power up AD lock with the current power source (fresh batteries for
AD200, AD250, or AD400, DC power supplied on the communication board
for AD300) - Connect the HHD to lock and couple lock to HHD if not already coupled. - Select the SUS Device Options then Change Lock Class. Select the most recent downloaded firmware package. - Select the target AD lock model to flash the firmware to new new class lock function, disconnect HHD after receiving "Firmware updated successfully" message. - Double Factory Default Reset the updated lock to reset all internal settings and ensure proper lock operation after Re-Classing. - Re-connect HHD to lock to make setting changes and program new access control door file updates as required.
