How to add my Z-wave Schlage Connect lock to a smart home system (BE468 / BE469)

1. Remove battery cover to verify your Schlage Connect model.

2. If your circuit board is green, you have the Z-wave model. If your circuit board is blue, you have a Zigbee lock. Follow these instructions instead for Zigbee.

3. Find the 6-digit programming code for your lock. You can find it on the back of your lock's User Guide or the inside assembly as pictured below.

4. Put your smart home controller into "Add" mode.

Review the instructions or app that came with your system controller to understand how to "Add Device".
 
5. Follow the steps below to add your smart lock.
 
a. Press the Schlage button on the front of your lock's touchscreen.

b. Enter your 6-digit programming code
 
c. Press 0.
 
d. If you see a blinking green check mark, your lock was added successfully. If you lock blinks a red X, your lock was not added.

If your Z-Wave lock is giving you a red light or a red x when you are trying to add it to your hub, you might need to do an exclusion on the lock first. See your hub manufacturer for exclusion instructions.
