How does the ND75 operate?

The ND75 / ND95 was discontinued effective June 7th, 2024, and was replaced by the ND78 / ND98

The ND75 is a Classroom Security Lock installed primarily on classroom doors.  A classroom lock (ND70) with an additional cylinder on the inside so that the teacher can lockdown the room without stepping outside. An inside cylinder, as opposed to a thumbturn, is used in this situation so that only a teacher can lock the room.

Normal Lock Operation: Door can be locked and unlocked from either inside or outside by key. Door always opens from the inside for fire safety.

Emergency Lock Operation: Teacher can lock the door from inside with a key. Must have a key to unlock the door from the outside. Turning inside handle while door locked allows door to open, but will remain locked when shut.
