How does the indicator trim operate on the ND53 Entrance lock?
Engaging the push button or pushing and turning the button will lock the outside lever and activate the indicator trim to read either Occupied or Locked. This will apply to both inside and outside indication trims.
Key outside or rotating the inside lever retracts the latch, releases the button and unlocking the outside lever. Indicator will now read either Vacant or Unlocked.
When the button is pushed and turned, rotating the inside lever will not release the button or unlock the outside lever. The indicator will not reset and will continue to read either Occupied or Locked until unlocked by key or button is rotated to start position to allow button to release by rotating inside lever. This will apply to both inside and outside indication trims.
