How does the AL170 get installed to make a double dummy?

Schlage offered the AL170 single dummy trim, but for applications where a double dummy was needed you can install two AL170 dummy trims back-to-back.  Each AL170 was shipped with a threaded rod (part number A501-167) that needs to be used instead of the normal mounting screw to mount these on the door.
