How does an electric strike operate with a Chexit device?

RIM DEVICE:  The Chexit must be disarmed when an electric strike is used.  If the Chexit is not disarmed, the device latch bolt will be in a rigid state when the door tries to close.

MORTISE LOCK DEVICE:  The Chexit does not have to be disarmed in order to use an electric strike. (However, it is recommended that the Chexit be disarmed for entry.  This allows users to avoid tripping a door position switch or bumping an armed push pad.)

VERTICAL ROD DEVICE:  An electric strike/Chexit combination is not recommended with vertical rod applications.  The device would need to be less bottom rod, and it would require a Pullman style top latch (circumstances which compromise security and are not permitted for fire rated devices).
