How do you upgrade Schlage Express to the lastest version?

Resolution:

- Backup the current facility from Schlage Express

- Save the backup file to a safe location, such as onto a USB drive

- Make sure to have your original Express software Customer Sales Order Number to register the new Express software.  It should be on the CD case.

- Uninstall the older Express program, using: Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

- Delete the Express directory from the Program Files or Program Files (x86) directory

- Install the current new Schlage Express

- Start the new Schlage Express to retrieve the new Machine ID

- Register the new Schlage Express, using the new Machine ID and Customer Sales Order Number to get the new Activation Key here:  Schlage Express Product Registration

- Restore the original backup facility from the safe backup USB drive

- Assign a new Backup directory using: Settings > Program Settings > Backup > Files will be placed in the folder specified below, example:   C:\SchlageExpress\Backup

- Assign the directory for door data files transfer to the HHD (the directory should already exist from the previous install) using: Settings > Program Settings > Programming > Locks will be programmed with a Pocket PC device  ( Use Change Folder to browse to the specific transfer directory. General Example: C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Documents on UserNameHHD )

- Delete anything in transfer directory

- Test the 'Generate Program Files' to verify doors data are written to the transfer directory and verify the doors data are transferred to the HHD for door programming
