How do you reset an AD-200 back to default?

Many problems with AD-series locks can be resolved by performing a Factory Default Reset (FDR).  This process will clear the memory and any stored configurations, re-enabling default user codes (in AD200s) and re-enabling the ability to use construction mode.

To perform an FDR on an AD-series lock:

1.     Remove the inside top cover of the lock.  This will expose the main board and activate the tamper switch.

2.     On the front side of the lock, press and hold the “Schlage” button for 10 seconds until 2 beeps sound and the green light on the “Schlage” button flashes.

3.     Immediately press the Interior Push Button (IPB, the button on the white pedestal on the main board) 3 times.  1 beep will sound with each press of the IPB.

After several seconds, the beeper will sound and the “Schlage” button will light green for 1 second, indicating that memory has been cleared.

Note: An FDR cannot be performed if an HHD is plugged into the lock.
