How do you install the LCN 9530 Senior Swing (STD) pull arm?

When installing the arm; the gearbox shaft and door must be at the (+90°) full open position. The following step are used to install the Senior Swing (STD) pull arm.

  1. Install the header using appropriate template (2-3/4 Butt Hinge/OP, or 2-3/4 CP). *(see note)
  2. With operator power "on", short the input wires (yellow and gray wires on P6 or P7 activation cable) and keep the wires shorted. This will cause the spindle on the motor gearbox shaft to rotate to the (+90°) full open position, and remain there. (gearbox shaft will rotate 180° from its -90° breakout position)
  3. Install the "spindle adapter" into the arm as required. (see appropriate template)
  4. Set your door at the +90° open position and install the arm to the spindle at the full open position (+90°) and tighten cap screw
  5. Install one end plug into track and loosely attach that end of track to the door.
  6. Install roller and "O" ring into the open end of the track.
  7. With door open to the +90° position, insert the end of arm into roller.
  8. Install the other end plug into track and attach to door. Tighten both track screw securely.
  9. Remove short from activation wires. Door will close and "learn" the opening.
  10. Connect the yellow and gray wires on P6 or P7 activation cable to the activation device.
  11. Test door for proper operation.
  12. If no further adjustments are needed, secure the arm by installing the washer and screw.
